My Mind Is Out On The Town

In the bedroom on the nightstand

or on my messed up desk

I just had it here in my hand

I can't get it off of my chest.

It could be on the kitchen table

it may have fallen to the floor

Oh, I'll find it when I'm able

if my mind comes back for sure.

If my tongue is tied up in a knot

and my mind is out on the town

Will you remember what I've forgot

in the book where I wrote it down.

It could be in the bathroom

there on the edge of the tub

I'm going to hop my broom

and fly down to the pub.

I've checked the garage and in the car

it's somewhere in this house

How could it have gotten that far

less chewed up by dog or mouse.
