I had a dream and dropped it

It shattered to the floor

I had my hopes up high and they fell

Fell crashing to be no more

I had three wishes to be granted

Granted when Genie missed the door.

Missed the door and hit the wall

Sliding through a dream

Fell there with one last hope

To choke in my phlegm.

Crushed beneath no wishes granted

When the Genie disappeared

Crushed beneath my hopes

That sparked all my fears

Crushed beneath a dream

That was wasted all these years.
