Down on our luck

with nothing more to think of

then I wipe the tears that are stinging

oh somewhere there's church bells a ringing.

And to me their songs do say

hey hey you lost your way

today there's so much sorrow

yesterday was really hell

but there's always tomorrow.

Walking through the ruins

of the old and new ones

when I see those buildings that are falling

oh somewhere there's sweet sweet voices calling.

And to me their songs do say

hey hey you lost your way

today there's so much sorrow

yesterday was really hell

but there's always tomorrow.

A child is crying

now in the dark and hiding

then I feel their hands that are reaching

oh somewhere there are many preachers preaching.

And to me their songs do say

hey hey you lost your way

today there's so much sorrow

yesterday was really hell

but there's always tomorrow.

I'm the last knight

against the last dragon I fight

when I plunge my sword through it's heart

oh somewhere I hear the songs start.

And to me their songs do say

hey hey you lost your way

today there's so much sorrow

yesterday was really hell

but there's always tomorrow.

We will slowly rebuild

as we rally on the hills

then pass the story down throughout the ages

oh somewhere someone will turn the pages.

And to me their songs will say

hey hey you lost your way

today there's so much sorrow

yesterday was really hell

but there's always tomorrow.
