Your body is a temple
for your heart, your mind and soul
You may think that it's a prison
you'll be free when you die oh.
But you are not worthless
if that's what your thinking
Who went and told you this
if that's what they were drinking.
They were drinking the wrong thing
when they made you feel like dying
saying words that cut and sting
with no cares that you are crying.
Crying softly but it is heard
by the angels all around
as they fly to heaven like a bird
to tell the king who's coming down.
Coming down to deal out justice
for the wrongs that have been done
to those who feel worthless
under the light of the moon and sun.
Your body is a temple
for your heart, your mind and soul
You may think that it's a prison
you'll be free when you die oh.
But you are not worthless
if that's what your thinking
Who went and told you this
if that's what they were drinking.
They were drinking the wrong thing...
