This big long train

is a rolling down the hill

It's a pouring down rain

and she is coming still

The tracks are slick

and I don't think she'll make it

It'll take a lot of prayers

for the brakeman to brake it.

Just a rolling along singing a song

to the click clack

of the railroad track

Yeah it won't be long til I'm home

if this train don't wreck and break my back.

This big long train

is a rolling down the hill

It's a pouring down rain

and she is coming still

The tracks are slick

and I don't think she'll make it

It'll take a lot of prayers

for the brakeman to brake it.

Just a rolling along singing a song

to the click clack

of the railroad track

Yeah it won't be long til I'm home

if this train don't wreck and break my back.

Yeah come on people get out of this train's way

I'm hoping that she passes up my dying day.
