Don’t you ever feel like leaving
When the world seems too cold
Everything seems so fake
When love is easily bought and sold
Does time ever grab a hold of you,
Catch up to your fast pace?
Do you find it harder and harder
To always come in first place?
Everything speeds up
Till nothing can slow down
Nothing real seems to last
Because it isn’t real at all
Forgetting what’s worth living for
When you think you have it all
Nothing appears to hurt you
You can’t see yourself fall
In this world of make believe
That has become real
Who can reach you
When you’ve forgotten how to feel?
Your life is empty
And yet you have no time to spare
How can you fill up a whole world,
When you’ve got no time to share
You have so many accomplishments
So many great friends
Money’s never short
So you know they’ll be there till the end
Sending you there love
In jealousy and mistrust
Leading you to believe them
Because you see through all the lust
Forgetting what’s worth living for
When you think you have it all
Nothing appears to hurt you
You can’t see yourself fall
In this world of make believe
That has become real
Who can reach you
When you’ve forgotten how to feel?
