The Circus Comes To Town
Here comes the music,
Here comes the crowd.
The circus is coming!
The people cheer loud!
The big tent goes up
There is hustle and bustle getting
things ready to go.
So much exciting for the big night
of the show.
The tall man on stilts,
walking tall as can be.
The clowns, painting faces,
laughing with glee.
The tighrope walker practicing each careful step,
The kids waiting patiently,
being told not to fret.
All is ready, the people file in.
Everyone seated "Let the Big Show begin!
the elephants come out and show all their neat tricks,
people with cameras, getting really fun pics.
The lady on the flying trapeze,
flying through air with the greatest of ease!
The lions that roar jumping through rings of fire,
the ringleader, that, man, the people admire.
the clowns run out, with horns and balloons,
knowing the circus will end way too soon.
The clown with a frown on his bright painted face,
To him, the fun, is here, in this place.
The circus has ended,
It will be back next year.
When the big top goes up,
Come see us, be here!
