Break Dancing Boy
by Susan H Fouts
From the moment you come home from school
You are one break dancing fool
You sing real good
for your age
Which makes me think
That you'll go far
Maybe even become a star.
I know grandma gets a little nervous
But she is watching your talent silently
Observing the gifts
God has bestowed on you
And meanwhile praying God will lead you
To be a performer for His will
And bless all those who watch you still.
So grow little one in God's grace
Don't let tears come on your face
If I raise my voice
And ask you to stop
You've been given a gift
So let it shine
And God will smile
As He watches you from the miles
And delivers you from all your trials
Break dancing boy
Don't stop the flow
For that is how you are going to grow.
