As I was thinking
The thought occurred to me
How much I depend on things around me
My home, my family and I thank You Lord for them
But You can be my only source of joy and peace
Father, I lean upon your mercy
Every moment of the day
I need You
Though sometimes I don't show it
Still You know me better than I know myself
I can see that in Your Word
You've done it all for me
The work which you have started
You'll complete it
Until the day that Jesus Christ returns
Lord, You're mighty and able to perform it for me.
I lay them all at Your feet, Lord Jesus,
And I hold nothing back
You can take my life, my family, my possessions,
But don't take Your love away from me.
