This is a poem about evangelism. I honestly thought I had already posted it before but I guess I didn't because I did not see it. I must be having a senior moment in life with forgetfulness. Oh well, such is life.

Fisher of Men
by Susan H Fouts

I look for opportunity
To cast the lively bait
To an ocean full of hungry fish
All lying still in wait.

Their souls are starving
for the love
That everybody needs,
But they look in mass directions
Searching through the weeds.

Swimming in an open sea
Safety lies with numbers
But alert I stand at the helm
No time to take a slumber.

For time is short
Eternity long
And never to repent
Once gone from earth
It is too late
And judgment then is set.

So now I look out at the sea
And ask myself, "What now?"
I cannot catch an ocean of fish.

But now I wish and wish and wish
That there are others just like me
Waiting for a fish.
