Hair Net
by Susan H Fouts
Smoizza, you've inspired me
though you don't know it's so
I thought of something precious
That's so hard to let go!
My hair, my hair, my lovely hair
is growing oh so thin
And hairballs blowing cross the room
Make my mind start to swim.
Food is checked for traces
Of these strands of gray
Stomachs get turned before you eat
pushing them away.
Away away my hair is blowing away
Across the desert sands
Along the busy way
Oh how I wish they would stay.
My hair, my hair, my once beautiful hair
So thick and to be envied
but now is oh so thin.
I love what little I have left
despite the shape I'm inĀ
