Election day came with a nauseousness that came a long with it and I felt inspired to write this poem.

This Too Shall Pass

By Susan H Fouts

You're feeling kind of tipsy

The waves swirl you around

Hold on to the sides

You will be alright

Ride the storm

For it will pass

As dew upon the grass

This too shall pass

You're feeling kind of yucky

like the wicked witch of west

Hold on to your tongue

Don't speak too soon

For this too shall pass

The feelings are only the oppression

Felt from high above

Hold your tongue

You'll be okay

For this too shall pass.

You're feeling kind of lonely

Like no one is around

Who feels what you are going through

This too shall pass

For you are not alone

We are all in the boat

Reeling rocking to and fro

This too shall pass
