One Who Will Make Me Whole

Whom shall I marry
I wonder as each day goes by
Will I make the right choice
Has faith made up my mind

Will they be all I dream of
Or someone I will learn to despise
Will our affair be that of fairytales
Or one of shattered lives

Will I have the strength to endure the hardships
Or will I falter and fail
Am I deserving of a life of love
Or an example of what a broken spirit entails

A journey lies before me
A story to unfold
Will it be one with a happy ending
Or one that leaves me cold

The answer to my questions
Are not of the spoken word 
Hidden deep within my soul
A whisper gone unheard

The choice is a decision
Mine alone to make
I will listen to my heart
And learn from my mistakes

If I'm to find the one
Who will make me whole
I must open up my heart
And pray love will not forsake
