Solemn vows
Spoken only to my virgin ears
Melting my independence
Morphing by body
into a changling from a dream yet to be dreamed
Each word sheds more of my vitality
Draining my will to live
Suffocating my beating heart
until theres no drop of life
Each sentence hypnotizng me
into a voidless form of being
Stripping the memories of the past and the present
with held in each cell of my endless mind
This softly spoken sonnet streams to my ears, flows through my blood, into every pore of my body.
This is hisĀ promise of everlastingĀ love
His solemn vow to me.
