I look out of my window and let the breeze shift my hair,
I hold in the pain of our horrible nightmare.
I let a single tear escape my emerald eyes,
It was so hard to see through your caring disguise.
I sigh deeply into the cold, blowing wind,
This was a race I couldn’t finish, of course you would win.
I wonder when you’ll realize this wasn’t my choice,
Along with my heart, you’ve stolen my voice.
I feel my numb pale, untouched skin,
I guess loving me was your only sin.
I lay on my deathbed and breathe in deep,
I can’t believe my soul was something you’d keep.
I look around and let my heart freeze,
Who could have known you’d let your love seize.
I guess all I can do is wait for death then,
But you know for you, I’d go through hell and back again.
