THAT BABY SMILE

Poetry By: sydeeee
Poetry

Certain is it that there is no kind of affection so purely angelic as of a father to a daughter. To their daughters there is something which there are no words to express.

I remember that time, when you used to give me ride on your shoulder.
I miss your arms & charms, your lullabys, as I grew older.
I was your "BABY GIRL" who would do,
Things unexpected that nobody ever knew!!
You said," Don't stress yourself baby, bring that sweet little smile.
I live to see it everyday, I live to see it everywhile....."
Here I am, hiding my tears, faking smiles, of seventeen years.
Trying to fake that smile to her dad, to show everythings clear.
I used to share my problems wiith you, when I was in school
You consoled me all the time. Now what should I do??
And now when your girl has started going to college,
Got trapped in such a situation, you can barley acknowledge.
Her life has gone too sloppy, she abdicates it.
She can't tackle it anymore, She can't recuperate it.
Help me oh DADDY!! I can't take it anymore...
I don't want to go outside again, I dont want to go there anymore.
I know you don't want me to let your hopes down.
Dad, you don't have to be my clown!! Time will turn it inside-out.
GOD!! Give me the potential to fulfill my dad's wish!
I know, THAT BABY SMILE on my face, he would always wish!!
