Time and time and time again; you cannot beat time.

Who went
and sped up the clock?
Time is a greyhound
dashing on quicker legs;
a Ferrari passing
the checkered flag;
a rocket accelerating
to faster orbits.
Who put Reeboks
on the clock?
Weeks spring and leap,
days are blurred feet.
Hours and minutes
sprint
like Olympians.
Time is forcing me
with a flashing
flame-like express
of electric urgency.
Now wait a second.
