Hearing without Listening

Poetry By: Tesseth

He hears her without listening to her...never really hearing what she has been trying to say...

He didn't see
All those tears that she shed
He didn't hear her say
How she wished she was dead

He turned & walked away
Absorbed in his own thoughts
She fell to the hard floor
Her gut twisted in knots

Still he walked on
He walked out of the room
Leaving her there shredded
Whispering, "I love you"

Forsaking her though
Wasn't his greatest sin
Leaving her to die there
Yes that's hard to forgive

But by far the greatest ill
The worst that he could do
Was calling out to her
Oh hey, "I love you too"...
