Not broken or confused, just sure that I don't want what I'm used to / The same old answer every time, always walking down long roads, to see that there's nothing to find / To end up in the same exact place only to see, that only a couple minutes here was a waste of time for me / And the stories that are told so convincingly are lies, well not entirely it's just that parts of them aren't right / So told the way they are, the stories bring them to tears and continue a never ending cycle that goes on for years / But what you don't see is that I'm not a continuation, just a woman who stands alone as respectful to herself, in a world of sickness and desperation / Desperate they are always for the touch of another, for whom could care less whether it's for real or just for summer / Watch many times as they walk away and leave you standing, cold and alone / Watch as they leave you yet again, to find your own way home / Left in the dust you were, broken and bleeding cause when I spoke the truth you refused to believe it / Now here you are again swimming in tears, still trying to get back after all these years / They say what is meant to be will surely find it's way, and I believe that's a good enough reason to live respectfully /
