Their light

Poetry By: The Ragamufin

I decided to write something a bit lighter after my first story. This is something based on a poetry exercise I did in an English class a while ago.

My thoguhts rushed back to thier home as the beautiful bride flew from the church, clutching her new groom's hand in hers. Untamed love shone through her silk skin and happy tears trickled down her perfect face.

It was only moments ago, as I stood in the shade of the large oak, before her forgoten grave, that my love; our love was dying, fading, whilting like the flowers around her grave. I had stood there so long that I had forgotten the noise of the cars rushing like buffalo down the street and the mourning chourus being sung from the branches above my head.

However, as I heard the laughter; the music; the cheers; the joy that erupted from the church, honestly, I chuckled, smiled, and applauded. For there beaming love and burning hearts lit up my dispear like a wild fire.
