The sadness of love, and how it has the ability to break you.

NO. I won't put my hope up again, I won't and you can't make me.
It hurts too much, the agony, insanity.

The tears are welling up, my heart knowing I'm not strong enough to resist.
The anger boils up, feeling disgusted that these feelings still exist.

Can't I have a peace of mind, have a break from this torture?
But your love is a disease that I cannot cure.

Winding itself through me like ropes, squeezing me to the breaking point of no return,
you release me and leave me to die, forcing myself to think when will I ever learn?

Your hate is fire, your love a desire. Your words breed millions, and your speeches inspire. You say you're telling the truth, but you're really a liar. You conspire, lift me higher, enquire, thinned down to the last wire. You require, admire, live to be a survivor and break down into a crier.

Your strength is like the wind, it's always changing, and causing other's to fall.
Making a mess of things, leaving us in our most lowest points, ignoring our desperate call.

You've broken me so many times that parts are missing of my soul.
Puncturing your disease through me, leaving me unwhole.

You leave burns in our hearts, where you've scolded us with your anger
installing fear in our minds, forcing us to label you as danger.

Danger to our hope, our mind and the core of who we are
forced to cope that you will never return, because you've already traveled too far.

But I will hold you in my heart, forever in always, and remember the man you once were
Loving, caring, honest, secure.

When life was as easy as your conscience and endurance
Where you love was endless, and your smile effortless

Where your warm eyes held me like a warm embrace
and you'd squeeze a little tighter, just to be safe.

Where you were the hero in my eyes, and someone who could do no wrong
someone who was filled with hope, and reliably strong.

I miss you Daddy, but I know you'll never know how much this hurts me.
To see the monster you have become, and watch as you turn your back on humanity.
