A serenade, said with a split tongue

Poetry By: theeverevolvingepithet

An early effort, written in a mardy mood.
It still reads quite nicely though, imo

Some speak
With both sides of their mouth.
And for some benign reason
Still nothing comes out.

They say they're believers
Of thoughts that I love and know.
But their words and reactions
Never quite find time to show so.

There to remind you
Of all the manner of things deemed wrong.
Then take things you've voiced
As a means for swan song...

So with vim and great vigour
(And for some) with all of your heart.
Speak only with reverence or relevance
Before wrong words from our lips depart.
