If life was a cloud
On which I float,
You would be the sun, forever so close
Brightening every moment with your shining smile.
And also the moon
Enlightening,
Guiding the way when I’m lost in the dark.
If life was an ocean
Settled and calm,
You would be my boat, reliant and strong,
Carrying me in the right direction.
Life is not calm, nor a cloud,
It is losing your sight when there’s no-one around.
It is for these times that I hope you will be
My hand to hold, my shoulder to lean on, my friend.
Since we’ve been together
The sun has never shone so brightly
The ocean in my heart never so placid yet passionate.
To you, I wish all the happiness that life and love can bring
Just like you have brought to me.
