Head Games

Poetry By: Tiffany E

There always seems to be just one person who manages to captivate us, a person who we have such a hard time saying no to. This poem is about that man in my life.

So tired

just so tired of you

telling me you want me

to have your child

to live with you

to share our lives

only when you think

you can't have me.

I've been captivated by you

my body has yearned to be with yours

for years

you make it so difficult

to deny you my love

my body

but the fact still remains

you dont love me

you love the game

head games.

every time I try to

pick up the pieces

of my heart

my damaged and broken body

you beckon to me once more.

let my heart mend

I beg of you

Let all of my wounds heal

Allow me to move on

and release me from these shackles

I am so very tired

of being your prisoner of love.
