My Body Waits
By: Jessica Tucker
My eyes glisten,
awaiting your gaze.
My ears listen,
for your voice to blaze.
My lips shimmer,
longing for your kiss.
My soul does simmer,
it's you I miss.
My arms ache,
to hold you.
I lay awake,
'til half past two.
My heart beats,
a lonely tune.
My smile repeats,
under a new moon.
Can't wait for us to meet,
in due time.
I know you'll make my life complete,
our love no crime.
My whole body waits,
for you to discover.
Put here by the Fates,
you, my life long lover.
