Boy #1 Situation
Outside it is raining,
And it's only two(timewise)
It's ugly and gray,
And there's nothing to do.
(one hour later)
The thunder has stopped,
But the rain still continues.
I wonder what's next,
On God's nasty menu.
(another hour passes)
The rain's finally stopped,
And the sky's getting lighter.
So I step right outside,
And watch the rainbow get brighter.
(a half-hour later)
I think to myself,
That all day seemed so bad.
But the beauty of the rainbow,
Erases the uglyness, just a tad.
Boy #2 Situation
My father just spanked me ,
for being a bother.
I cried in my room,
'Cause I couldn't find my mother.
(one hour later)
My father's still mad,
And his anger continues.
I wonder what's next,
On God's nasty menu.
(another hour passes)
My mother's finally home,
And she can tell that I've cried.
So she gets me for some ice cream,
And we go for a ride.
(a half-hour later)
My ice cream is gone,
And I'm almost glad,
That I went downstairs,
To bother my dad.
This story has a moral and here it is.
Sometimes it may seem that things are dark and gray,
But beauty and light are always out at play.
