Laurie looks at herself in the mirror, crying,

wondering why she is so ugly.

Why does no one talk to her.

Her only friend is God.

They are two completely different people.

Laurie is ugly.

God is beautiful.

Laurie is dumb.

God is the smartest person in the world.

What good does God see in her.

She looks back in the mirror,

and suddenly sees a beautiful lady

She suddenly hears a voice.

It's coming from heaven.

It says, "Laurie, why do you fret in such"

Laurie responds back, "because, God. I'm ugly. No one likes me. No one talks to me."

The voice said, "You see that woman in the mirror"

Laurie looks in the mirror and say, "yes"

God says, "that is what you look like inside your heart. But no one knows that.

That is why you you need to show yourself more.

More people like you than you think, Laurie. Talk to them.

Approve their friendsship. And remember, don't cower is the shadows of fear.

Do you understand"

"I understand," Laurie said feeling much better.

As soon as she stepped out of the bathroom, she went to the cafeteria

and ran into a girl she had never seen before, "Oh, I'm sorry," said Laurie, "I was in a rush. Could you forgive me"

"Of course I can," said the girl, "hey, you never eat in the cafeteria. Why don't you come sit with us."

"Us," said Laurie, afraid of being made fun of.

"Don't worry," said the girl, "they're really nice. So how about it?"

At first Laurie wanted to say no, but she remembered what God said.

Don't cower in the shadows of fear.

"Sure," said Laurie, "I appreciate your kindness"

They went of to their table and ate.

That day, Laurie new she had learned a lesson

Her inner beauty is what really counts.
