Sometimes a kiss can cause death...

The door slowly creaked open

A silhouette of death at the threshold

Shadows devouring any evidence of light

My heart tried to break free from its confines

With graceful steps you walked toward me

Footsteps so light it was as if you were gliding on air

There in the dark you held my stare

A cynical smile slides across your blood red lips

You ran your fingers around my face

And it's sd if your hands are fire

Searing me

Singeing me

Burning me

You part your bloodied lips

And crash into mine

Slowly slide your tongue into my protesting mouth

At that second I could feel your venom burrowing inside me

Reaching its fatal fingers through my delicate veins

There in the dark my vision plunges into a deeper darkness

My subconscious conjures a bleak tomorrow

A gray tombstone with my name jaggedly etched

You standing over it

Midnight black dress

Raven black hair

Tears as thick and red as blood fall from your eyes

Trail down to my tombstone

Penetrating through the concrete

Devouring me

Suffocating me even in death…
