The weather outside is cold and grey
And the feeling in my heart just won’t go away
There’s a roof over my head and a warm bed awaits.
But in my heart there’s an emptiness that no other can fill.
I’m lost and I’m lonely with only your picture to comfort me
Not a day goes by without me thinking of you.
Longing to hold you in my arms and tell you how much you mean to me.
The warmth of your skin and the touch of your hand to assure me everything will be ok, is no longer a heartbeat away.
I hide behind a smile but my eyes they tell no lies.
So for now my dear loved one I lie here and wait for you
Till my sun shines again and the rain clouds disappear
And once again I have my one and only love near.
