Never In My Life

Poetry By: Trainman238

This is just about something I felt a few days ago.

Feel like I'm falling apart,
Like everything I've become
Is crumbling inside of me,
Collapsing around me.
Want to fall on my knees,
Right here, right now
Cry out to God, scream
Beg Him for mercy
When she lifts her hands
I feel the fiery, burning
Conviction fall upon me
Can't even lift my head
In the house of God
Not worthy
Feels like the tendons
Have been cut
Crumbling under the weight
Of my guilt, taking me to my
Knees, screaming at how far
I fell in such a short time,
How far I fell from God.
Eyes watering, tears falling
Never in my life have I felt
such heavy guilt that I cannot
stand, cannot even lift my head.
Never in my life.
Never have I felt such pain
from my own transgressions.
Never in my life.
Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to thy lovingkindness,
According unto the multitude
Of thy tender mercies
Blot out my transgressions.
Never in my life
Have I felt such guilt,
Such conviction,
Never in my life.
