Just a short poem on a dress I possess

The ruffle ran along the collar

The dress was worth every rupee or dollar

Pink satin covered the bodice of the dress

In the store, it was one of the best

The skirt was draped in a flowy material

It seemed too good to be real

Through the transperant glass it seemed to be heavenly

I watched the beauty of it dreamily

The colour fascinated me

It was so wonderful that every body could see

How it seemed to glow brightly in the light

The whole creation seemed nice and bright

But my mother pulled me from the place where I had stood like a rock

To admire the pretty pink frock
