If I were God and looked down from
I'd let a tear drop loose, let myself cry,
I'd watch the wars with a deep feeling,
but then look towards the church and have something to believe in.
The evil in people's minds,
the greed and unhappiness of these times,
the unfairness of some childrens lives,
but they'll get out of it, if they try.
Animals falling and dying,
children being beaten and crying,
the emptiness in people's heart,
and the evil that pulls people apart.
The fake smiles that are worn on
the untouched poverty places,
people that are missing without any traces,
and the feeling of missing someone that replaces,
all the love you had in the beginning.
So looking down on the earth,
I'd let myself have hope,
because some people down there,
are appearing to cope.
They say their prayers every night,
grabbing their pillow,
shutting their eyes tight.
Being silent with the tears that flow,
but their souls are still pure,
they still know that there is always...
Sun after a storm.
