Tears roll from my eyes,

Leaving a wet tail

on my flushed cheeks,

Showing the pain,

Alive in my past,

Understood by all,

Guilt is a nasty thief.

Whowill not be alone,

At the point of death?

What will be shown?

The tears of fear,

A smile or a groan?

I look at my hands,

As they tremble,

How can this body,

This broken body,

Be God's temple?

I have haughty eyes,

Evil, my heart has devised,

Have shed innocent blood,

Have caused pain,

And malice amongst people,

Lies have poured liked,

A monsterous flood,

And am quick,

To run to evil.

My heart falls too pieces,

With every thought,

Like uncared for shingles,

I know, "let it go",

It is never really ever that simple.
