Epistle to Love

Poem By: UncommonCold
Poetry

We had to write a letter to an abstraction in creative writing, so I decided to write mine to love. It's an age and a half old, but I thought it mildly amusing. View table of contents...

Love,
          Without warning, you’ve come a-calling, and I must say – you’re appalling.
Ever since you waltzed in, my life’s been in a nasty tail-spin.
Just a-walking and a-crying, I’m-a fussing and I’m fighting. I didn’t want you to come and visit, but that’s not really the matter, is it?
You’ve come into my life and brought your friends, hope and confusion. Does it never end?
Running for you is a task a-winding, and so this letter I am sending.

If you’re going to be here without ending, I must require for myself a happy ending.
