A poem written in 2010 about my ex. He tricked me and made me feel safe.

I lay down a blanket and turn off the lights. I get down on the floor and search for your beautiful eyes. I finally find them and lay next to you on the floor. I look at the ceiling and then at the door. I look back at you and your warm eyes. You pull me close as if we're trying to hide. You kiss my lips in your usual fashion. And I truly love it with a fiery passion. You put your hand in my shirt and I shiver. It feels like we're floating out on a river. I pull you on top of me and hold you super tight. I honestly wish you could stay for the night. I want to ask you, I want to know. That if I let you go all the way will you take it slow? I love that I can trust you, I love that you care. I feel very safe with you, like we're the only two there. I love the darkness, I let time slow. I love your warm body, and I want you to know. I love you and I don't want to stop thinking. Of you and I in the darkness and how it felt like we were dreaming.
