A poem about death that I wrote when my depression was really bad. Written in 2010.

Death is peaceful,

death is calm.

Death comes quick

and you feel no harm.

Death is dark,

death is quiet.

I don't freak out,

I don't start a riot.

I hope you hear this

but don't be mad.

I'm sorry I left,

you must be sad.

I can't help it

or make it stop.

If I could I would

rewind the clock.

So all that I ask,

this one simple prayer.

Never forget me

and stay down there.

I know you'll miss me

but don't come here.

I know you love me,

I see every tear.

I know you miss me babe,

I miss you too.

Trust me babe,

I know what you're going through.

I know you think

that it's your fault.

You were there at the wrong time

and in the wrong spot.

I saved you

from death and pain.

I pushed you out of the way

when the car came.

I came out looking for you,

but didn't go far.

You were depressed when you stepped into the street,

you didn't see the car.

I did it because

I don't want to see you like this.

So take my heart,

and give me one last kiss.

Need not to worry,

need not to die.

I know this is sad,

I know you will cry.

So let the rain fall

wherever it may

and please listen to me,

please stay.

I miss you so much

and I think about you all the time.

Know that I love you,

know that your mine.

Live your life

to your full potential.

Don't take it,

it may be beneficial.

I love you baby,

never give in,

and always remember

that I'll be above you in heaven.
