Hats Off to Hats

Poetry By: Unfortunate Cowboy
Poetry

I just see hats everywhere, and, well, I thought I would say thank you to them. They really do a lot for a lot of folks. NOTE: The hat in the picture is, in fact, my hat, whom I would like to especially dedicate this too.

Many a cowboy, many a man,

many a woman, and many a child,

do not realize they have

a constant companion.

One who keeps you dry when its wet,

one who keeps you cool when its hot,

and warm when it is cold

and shady in the sun.

___________________________

Many a stock-man, many a man

many a woman and many a child

do not realize they have

a good friend always close.

___________________________

One who keeps you feeling humble,

one who makes you smile in the mirror,

and grin with your friends

and laugh with your love.

___________________________

Many a trucker, many a man

many a woman and many a child

do not realize they have

someone who won't let them down.

___________________________

One who will work all night,

one who will work all day,

never complaining, but

there to lend a hand.

___________________________

Many a singer, many a man

many a woman and many a child

do not realize they have

a companion to share life with.

___________________________

One who is a quiet observer,

one who lives with its wearer,

who quietly lives a life

atop the head of its owner.

So thank you hats.

We just want you to know

you help us in little ways

every day, and we are grateful.
