To A Long Ago Love

Poem By: USGlen
Poetry

This is a poem about a female that I knew way back in 1968 in the military. We loved each other even though she was engaged to another man. View table of contents...

When we  met in that place I thought that I could love you

But you deceived  me

I thought that you wanted me

I thought you cared for me

2.

We talked and I enjoyed it

You maybe did that to me

But I never knew

Is he yours or is  he ours?

3.

We departed

I got lost

I said good bye

I wrote and you never answered

4.

You didn't really know me

Life for me is not being a nurse!

For me life is something better!

I think about my life daily

5.

My life is not yours

Neither am I yours

My love I don't want to be yours

I love others

6.

God is pointing me in the right direction

It is not anything really

I care not to say

Goodbye my love- Nevermore Lieutenant

Great poem.
These strange relationships teach us alot about ourselves, huh?

Your right! I'll never make the same mistake again. She was a little immature and I didn't have any female friends at that time. Now I have quite a few. They are all my age and are not anxious for a man to spend a lot of money on them. They all aren't looking for a sugar daddy either. Enough Said!
