Mommy why do you cry

let me wipe the tears from your eyes

im sorry I died mommy

please don’t be sad mommy its not your fault

daddy didn’t mean to do it mommy

daddy is not bad its not his fault mommy

please stop crying if it makes you feel right don’t look in to my lifeless eyes mommy

why did daddy let me die why didnt he do any thing mommy

why did he let me die

didn’t he love me mommy why do you cry

daddy should cry he sat there as I lay covered in blood and die

he didn’t call the medical guy he just sat and watched me die

is daddy sick mommy

please answer me mommy please don’t cry

Jesus took my hand and I got to meet the daddy of daddies mommy

I am fine Jesus said that he will take care of me for you mommy

but one question mommy is daddy guna be here when he dies

Jesus said he is sick and needs help

he said that maybe someday he will be her mommy

why didhelet me die as you sat therewith a knife cutting into me

why mommy do you not love me?

Twisted subject matter though well captured and expressed, 16 thumbs up.

Woa.... twisted at the end. But wow... that was incredibly good. It was really sad. It's almost sad, happy, then sad, then freaky. I liked it. =) Mandy

vahndelfire:

This has to be one the saddest poems I have ever read.

Every word of it "rings true". Remarkably so. Only someone who enters eternity as an innocent child could express such thoughts and emotions. Great job. Gave it an "I Like It" vote.

Happier trails,

Ed Bradley.

thank you for your comment lol i am usually a happy person

More mothers do this? This Mumma hates even to take out a splinter for fear of hurting her off spring. (and not too wonderful with the harsh words either) Very sad and written with that twist at the end (because all the time you think it is the father) that gives it its shock and awe value. It was a bit macabre for me, I like it but I couldn't bring myself to click the like it button.

that is fine lol because i feel real stupid now that you threw out all the big words that i dont understand lol and yes it is usually due to post pardum depression we learend that at school

I agree with Anna.....It's so sad and how could a mom do this ??
Actually why did she do it??

post pardum depression is very powerful and that is what i was told makes them do it what was my insperation for this is my ex gf jolean who had a kid and didnt even care and she gave it to her mom and went off to do drugs

SAD SAD SAD
I wasn't expecting the twist at the end. I like the way your word choice reflects the voice of the child speaking. A sad, but very well-written, poem!
