Missing you shouldn’t be so hard
The way you softly kiss my cheek
The way you light up whenever you see me
The way you hold my hand and don’t let go
Missing the look in your eyes
The regret that flies by
The tears that I dry
Or kiss softly off your face
Every feature is etched in my mind
Stuck there for all time
The whisper of your breath in my ear
The way you say "I love you with all my soul"
Sometimes I try to remember
The feel of dancing softly with you
Stepping on your toe with my two left feet
The way you smile and say "It’s okay"
I miss the way you tell me everything
The way you hug me as if to never let me go
The breath that escapes me whenever I see you
The dreams we shared.
I still have the crunch of love on my chest
Do you feel the same?
Do you think I’m to tame?
Do you love me?
All I’ll ever know
Is your face
Is your death
Is my love for you…
