When we gain a loved one
We cry.
When we lose a loved one
We cry.
But there’s a huge difference
Between gain and lose.
There’s a big difference
Between joy and sorrow.
A new loved one
Makes us cry with tears of joy.
The loss of a loved one
Streaks our faces with tears of sadness.
No matter how happy or sad
We cry over nothing.
Rain or shine
We tear up over nothing.
When we gain a loved one
We cry.
When we lose a loved one
We cry.
We seem to find
All the things wrong.
In the world we find
All the things right.
All the things right.
What we do with them
We may never truly understand.
It’s how we treat them
That makes us comprehend.
We may cry
Over nothing at all.
But it’s when we cry
Over something, that means something to us all.
When we gain a loved one
We cry.
When we lose a loved one
We cry.
