Why does it hurt
When they tell you they love you.
Why does it hurt
When they remove that love for you.
They say
I’ll love you forever.
But what they don’t say
Is forever is never forever.
They’ll claim they care
About you and only you.
They’ll claim they wouldn’t dare
Cheat or lie to you.
They tell you
Everything you want to hear.
But they don’t tell you
The truth that you never want to hear.
Why does it hurt
When they tell you they love you.
Why does it hurt
When they remove that love for you.
When you love them
You believe the lies.
If you’ve fallen for then
You will be the one who cries.
He will move on
To the next girl.
You won’t move on
Until you get over him.
You feel all the pain
All the heartache.
He feels none of the pain
None of the heartache.
Why does it hurt
When they tell you they love you
Why does it hurt
When they remove that love for you.
