The Siren's Call

Poetry By: VampireLove73
Poetry

The lovely Seductress that haunts the ships of those at sea. Irresistible to men, cursed by the Gods, these creatures have crept in and out of pirate tales, and folklore for hundreds of years. The one most lovely creature that you want the most, her song calls for your soul, and doesn't intend on giving it back!

Men lured from their ships at sea,
I wait for them close by.
Wandering eyes unknowing,
I've condemned them all to die.

My song calls for them deeply,
They enter my dark lair.
All drunken with my beauty,
Of my actions, they are unaware.

The blood upon my rocks,
Hidden deep from their eyes.
They know not of my past victims,
Or of my deceitful guise.

I croon to them softly,
My song ever so sweet.
Wooing them to my cove,
My tasteful snacks to eat.

Their blood soaks my lagoon,
Their screams echo off my walls.
My sisters follow suit,
Hungry for my call.

The ruins of their vessel,
Are caught inside my den.
Fair warning to other sailors,
The home of a lovely Siren.
