The Sound of Rain

Poetry By: Violet Moon

This is a poem that I wrote for an English project. It is true and personal but it can have many meanings of who it is about so I won't say the story and let you guess. Enjoy!!! :)

The Sound of Rain

The sound of rain

Pitter pattering

On the roof above us,

Matching the tears

Running down cheeks.

Seats fill and

Sad faces gather.

All for the same purpose.

To mourn over the loss

And memories that won't fade.

They say that

She is smiling

At the sight of

Millions of piences

Gathering to form her family.

She loved to laugh,

To dance under the stars,

Spread her love

From sea to sea,

And listen for hours.

She loved every

Living thing

Like her own.

And took everyone

Under her wing.

The sound of rain

Pitter pattering

On the roof above us,

Reminds us of tears

She shed for everyone else.
