Just a lighthearted reminiscence of some good times had.

smell of beersoaked floors
old world etched wooden bar
pool table off to the side
a jukebox to die for
aint a gold chained polyester soul
to be found.
No mercedes
No lexus
No bouncer
Just a couple of Harleys
parked out front.
Born to be wild
and some Baba O'Reilly
and if you're really lucky
some Roadhouse Blues
just to get ya in the mood.
Smoky leathered guys
long haired and flanneled
levis and workboots
Aint no martini's served here.
Just good ole' bud on tap
and a shot of whisky.
you'll see the band,
young roadies settin' up
in the corner
just tryin to make a buck
and have some fun.
Hang around long enough
and you'll hear Bobbie and Tommy
havin' a go at it in
that tiny bathroom stall
and I'll guarantee
Jimmy'll be pissin' himself
on the barstool of fame.
I love a good dive.
