This is a poem I did about The Crucifixion and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It's not an easy poem to read.It wasn't easy to write either. It's a very emotional poem.I wasn't planning on it being as long it is;but they was no other way to do it.I hope you enjoy it.

The Crucifixion And Resurrection

They brought Jesus to Pilate to be put to death but he found no fault in him

To the chief priests that wasn't satisfying to them

So they took Jesus to King Herod instead

They were determined to see him dead

Herod also found no fault in him and sent them away

When they left they brought him back to Pilate

Pilate said "Herod found no fault in him nor do I,but I will chastise him and set him free"

The chief priest were not about to see him released

Pilate had Jesus scouraged and the soldiers placed a crown of thorns on his head with a purple robe saying "Hail Jesus King Of The Jews"

I know Jesus had to be thinking only if you knew

When they were done they brought him out

"Crucify him" they began to shout

Pilate said "I shall release one prisoner to you shall it Barabbas or Jesus the Son of God"

They shouted Barabbas for what they were doing they knew not

Then they shouted "Away with him crucify him"

For Pilate knew he couldn't go against them

So he gave up he had finally had enough

He told them "You crucify him I wash my hands of his blood"

So they led him away and forced a man named Simon to carry his cross

Little did they know their souls would soon be lost

Jesus was put on a cross with a criminal on either side

They would keep watch till he lost his life

The soldiers and one criminal mocked him saying "If you are the Son of God save yourself"

Little did they know they were condemning theirselves

The other criminal said "Lord remember me"

Jesus said "Paradise you shall see"

Jesus said "Forgive them Father for they no not what they do"

If only they knew what Jesus had told them were true

Then he said "Father in your hands I commit my spirit"

And that was it

Darkness fell across the land

They knew now he was a rhighteous man

The sun was blackend and the ground began to shake

They knew now they had made a mistake

They said "He was the Son of God"; now they knew

And the temple was torn into two

Joseph who's heart was true

wrapped him in clean linen and placed his body in a tomb

On the third day they found the stone rolled away

They knew this was where his body did lay

Two men stood by in shining garments said "Why do you look for the living among the dead"

They couldn't believe what was just said

The men said remember what he said

"The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men,

and be crucified, and on the third day rise again"

To all of you who read this remember he did this to cleanse us of our sins
