Can You Hear This Cry?

I am so invisible sometimes I think I could rob a bank...

Do you see me?

I highly doubt it

I am the girl with her head tucked down

Pushed around in the hallways

Invisible to all who pass

Nobody special

As I do not possess a great mind

Or good looks

Just someone no one would miss

Another face in the crowd

Getting through life day by day

Trying my hardest to just get by

So I put on my fake smile,

Emit false laughter,

Make empty statements and jokes,

And masquerade the worst of feelings

With an indifferent attitude

As you look down upon me,

Put me down,

Or cast me to the side

Sadly, you don't even know me

I hate who I am

Because of what everyone says

Insult directed at me for being myself

I'll never be good enough anyone

And deep inside filled with such sorrow

My heart bleeds hot, angry tears

That I cannot let you see

Would you even notice anyway?
