Another peculiar dream...

In the midst of our wake

I feel your foot, the ball of your heel

The one, I did make

I can't help but shake, this is real

Sleep evades us both,

We curl together, lost in eachother

Akin in the undergrowth

A pride, I feel, to be his mother

I watch your curly countenance

Feel blessed to be given

Such a grace, with no penance

No need to be forgiven

I hear your light, chesty breathing

My babe, my love, my boy

I feel a tug, from this dream I am leaving!

Please, do not part me from this joy

I cup him in one arm,

support him with the other

For he shall not be harmed

For I am his guard, his mother

Under the night sky

I sing him to sleep

Hush his cries, with a lullaby

He makes no sound, not a peep

I powder his nose with loving hands

This is so strange to me

We rest by the shore, the sands

My child, my boy, my baby

Unsure of how to wake, how to leave this place

I seek a place of saftey

Within the tree, in its hollow space

I leave him, my body's aching

How wicked and scornful your are,

you wicked, malicious dream givers

To create the fictitcious art

Of ficticious skies and rivers

To bless a girl with a babe so bright

Let her name the seed of her womb

And wrench her back, with so much might

To reality, her virginity, her cold dark room
