There is nothing more destructive

than a self destructive turn

where you avoid the constructive,

procrastinate, not learn

You stare at the pile of books,

stare blankly at your phone

You remember the way he looks

The screen is blank, you're on your own

You see, I feel as though I'm aching

With a burning, scorning fire

Aim to be a mischief in the making

wrought with carelessness and desire

It's been a year, almost two

Since we started talking

It feels as though I've known you

Since the day we started walking

You say you see me in your dreams ,

want me by your side

Are your words exactly what they seem..

Or does a lack of truth, in them reside ?

When we're together, things are perfect

Apart, but communicating, things are right

Away, and no sound, this is defect

There is no way I can sleep tonight

You said you'd be there for me always

You said you'd always be there for me

You said it over and over some days

Always you said you always would be

There is nothing more destructive

than an overactive mind

One that watches,

slowly turning the cogs inside

With eyes and heart and soul in everything she does.

It's easy to hurt her.

Break down all of her control.

You can break her simple complexity, just by

crushing all her hopes.
