This was just a train of thought. As it always is. Enjoy.

Your lesson today my dear,

is a lesson in love

Within ten minutes I will teach you

Heart break and reconcilliation

You will be subject to raging hormones and mixed emotions

In the first five minutes

I wil take you in my arms

Smear the make up from your face

with my thumbs

see your true skin

and whisper in your ear

'I like you better like this'

I will hold you against my body, and tell you that you are perfect

And i will grade you by your tears

In the last five minutes I will ignore you

I will dismiss your pleas

and cries for attention

Upon your cheek

I leave

a stinging smack

'You're worse than my ex'

I will grunt at you

through gritted teeth

and push you

hard

without care of concequence

And I will grade you by your tears

In the last second

I will take you into my arms

Whisper my apologies

I like you better like this

I will kiss the space between your eyebrows

Yet again

tears befall your stinging cheek

Well done, I say, you have just had your first lesson in love

My mind says love is good, healthy, but my heart aches otherwise. Commitment and emotional attachment is like darkness, like sleep to the insomniac. We yearn for it. And when our eyes are finally closed. We fear it.
